    BAJNOF THEATRE

Just as every year our school held an informational day with which it introduces itself to future prospective students and their parents. This year a group of students of different years and classes under the joint leadership of professors Rebeka Pirnar and Zvezdana Cujnik put on a play, which was a rendition of a work written by Svetlana Makarovič, Kuzma the Gremlin wins a prize. Our rendition was called Grm the Gremlin wins a prize (it was named after our school and was also an interesting way of presenting the school's educational programs). The show was quite a success as it was preformed three times during the informational day (equipped with microphones) and twice during the school's student exchange week with France (microphoneless).
The actors enjoyed going to the rehearsals even though there were some rocky starts as we did the play in English. But with each rehearsal we got better, had a few laughs and got some new ideas about doing the play, some of those ideas were even realized in the play with the ok we got from the professors themselves.
As far as costumes go each actor/actress had to make and bring their own costumes, which resulted in the following
Farmer gremlin was wearing a red jumpsuit with large boots on his feet, a large though slightly thorn straw hat on his head and sunglasses on his nose.
Florist gremlin wore an apron and a small cap
Gardener gremlin proudly wore the school's work uniform (a blue and green jumpsuit with the school's name printed on the back)
Grammar-school gremlin wasn't wearing anything fancy (as the actor playing the character felt more comfortable with the clothes on his back) instead opted for a pair of gold-rimmed lensless glasses
Even the rest of the gremlins and goblinettes were dressed just as interesting and colorful.
For those of you who had not seen the play I'll tell you its plot:
One Friday afternoon Grm the gremlin wakes up late (as usual) to go to the annual meeting of the school gremlins. On the way, he meets a cleaning lady, who asks him where he is going 'at this time of day' to which Grm rudely replies that she should mind her own business. He goes along his merry way unaware that he was being followed by the cleaning lady.
After arriving (again late as usual) to the meeting, he was berated for his lateness by the Grammar-school gremlin. After Grm makes a witty remark as an apology for being late, the meeting finally starts. After each gremlin gives out a report about their gremlinry they have a party which pauses only for the yearly TopGremlin award with this year's prize being a 'magic cooking pot, which can cook anything its owner wishes for'. The prize was won by Grm and so the gremlins partied until midnight.
Early the next morning, Grm woke up, only to find that his prize was missing. After searching for it in his den, he goes to find the cleaning lady, to ask her if she had seen his missing magic pot.
It turns out the cleaning lady had stolen the pot while Grm was sleeping as a part of 'practicing a little gremlinry' as she calls it. Grm leaves with a growl.

As a final word I'll say that Theatre Bajnof is currently planning on doing (if possible) 4 more plays in the upcoming year, two of which are renditions of books written by Mark Haddon (The curious incident of the dog in the night-time) and Eoin Colfer (Artemis Fowl).
